Club advisors

John Park

Grandmaster Park is our club advisor. He is a 9th Dan Black Belt and has his own Dojang, Belterra Taekwondo, in Dripping Springs, TX. He has a long history within the sport of Taekwondo and has trained many National Champions throughout the 90’s and 2000’s, including several US National Team Members. Grandmaster Park then moved on to collegiate coaching and has coached at many programs throughout his career, from West Point to the US Naval Academy, to Rutgers to NYU, and has been with Texas Taekwondo since 2019. Grandmaster Park’s knowledge guides us throughout our journey as 5X National Champions.

Jason Dahlberg

Jason Dahlberg joined Texas Taekwondo in 2020 and is our head advisor for our poomsae program. He recently graduated from UT in 2024 with a B.S. in Geology and B.S.A. in Chemistry and is currently pursuing his PhD in Geology at UIUC. Jason is a multi-US National Collegiate Team Member and recently represented Team USA in the Male Individual division of Poomsae at the 2023 Summer World University Games in Chengdu, China.

Daniel Yun

Former Coach Daniel Yun has been with Texas Taekwondo since 2012, serving as President of the club from 2014-2017, and then as assistant coach from 2017-2020. He graduated UT in 2017 with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and currently works as a software engineer in Colorado, where he continues to support the team remotely and at our events.

Danielle Drews

Club Librarian Danielle Drews has been with the club since 2016, serving as President of the club from 2019-2020. She graduated UT in 2020 with a degree in English and currently works in the Austin area as a Programs Coordinator and Client Services Associate. Danielle is an integral part of the program and continues to assist the team with our administrative needs.
