NCTA National Collegiate Championships
From April 11-13, Texas Taekwondo will be travelling to Boston, Massachusetts to compete in both sparring and poomsae to defend their SIXTH consecutive national champion title at the NCTA National Collegiate Championships!
Experiences like these are made possible with generous donations from friends and family of Texas Taekwondo. Just prior to collegiates, on April 9-10, Texas Taekwondo is participating in UT’s annual 40 for 40 fundraiser. Help us enhance facilities, offer scholarships, and ensure our athletes have the opportunity to compete at the highest levels!
COMPETE FOR TEXAS
Texas Taekwondo competes in Olympic-style (WT) taekwondo. We’ve won the last four National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships, making us 4x consecutive National Champions!
What makes our sport unique is the emphasis on kicking - head-height kicks, flurries and combinations, plus sharp footwork make taekwondo fun to watch and even more fun to do.
If you’re interested in representing The University of Texas on the national stage, you've found the right team! Our athletes compete around the country and even internationally for those with higher aspirations!
FIND YOUR COMMUNITY
Texas Taekwondo is a tight-knit group bound by our dedication to self-improvement. The mat room is a judgment-free zone where it doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned black belt or a fresh white belt throwing your first kick. We’re all here to get better together.
You can find our athletes practicing any day of the week just because it’s a fun way to hang out. Wanna take a break from studying? Come to practice. Haven’t worked out in weeks? Come to practice. Looking for new friends? Come to practice.
Additionally, we have tons of socials for our members to get to know each other better off the mat. Past events include camping, ice skating, paintball, formals, and even skiing!
