Kicks 4 Kids

Kicks 4 Kids is a year-round program run entirely by volunteers from the Texas Taekwondo club and team. We instruct students at UT Elementary Charter School in the fundamentals of Taekwondo in the fall semester, followed by an introduction to Olympic-style sparring in the spring.

Hello parents and students! We are excited about this semester of Kicks 4 Kids! This webpage will be a hub for information regarding our program – we will be posting announcements regarding schedule changes and important events (such as our upcoming end-of-the-semester demonstration!). We will also be placing the requirements to test for a new stripe/belt on this page so that our students can practice at home. Please feel free to give us feedback as this page is a work in progress.

Rules and Expectations

At Kicks 4 Kids, we want to foster a safe and positive learning environment. We endeavor to keep your children engaged and support them as they work through a challenging and rewarding sport. In order to accomplish this, we would like to clarify our expectations during practice. Although this is not a traditional taekwondo school, we base our rules on the tenets of Taekwondo. We have a short amount of time every week that we would like to fill with hard work and exercise.These rules make it easier for us to focus on helping students achieve their goals.

 

  1. Courtesy- Please be kind and respectful to each other and to our coaches.
  2. Integrity- Please be honest. You are responsible for what you say and do.
  3. Perseverance- Never give up. We believe in you, and we want you to believe in yourself.
  4. Self control- Have listening ears and keep your hands to yourself.
  5. Indomitable spirit- Be strong, brave, and courageous.
